General information
Partner
Mark Aukema studied law at the State University of Groningen and was admitted to the Bar in 1991. He has been with the law firm, RWV Advocaten, since 1995 and became a partner in 2000. From 2001 to 2005 he was the managing partner at RWV Advocaten. Mark currently manages the Insolvency Section. He has been an active member of INSOLAD since 1996, is a member of INSOLAD's working group on remuneration for receivers and bankruptcy trustees, and is the co-author of a soon to be published report. He is frequently appointed as a receiver and administrator to medium-sized and large companies. In the process, he has gained considerable experience in re-organisations and securities. Another of Mark's areas of expertise is company law, where he provides advice on mergers, takeovers and disputes among shareholders, and litigates in the Enterprise Section of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal. Mark is a member of the editorial staff of the INSOLAD Newsletter, which is enclosed with the leading Dutch journal on insolvency, Tijdschrift voor Insolventierecht.
